OCC Ticketing 2024 - Terms & Conditions
Please take a moment to review this document as all individuals who register online or onsite and attend this event are asked to acknowledge and accept the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Management (including both the event organiser, Expertise Events and venue staff) reserve the right to refuse admission and may on occasion conduct security searches to ensure the safety of show patrons.
2. All tickets are non-refundable. In the case of event postponement by the organiser or venue, tickets purchased will be rolled over to the new dates.
3. Tickets are not permitted to be re-sold without the express written permission from the event organiser, Expertise Events. The organizer may allow a change of name on the ticket at their discretion and with sufficient notice, however this is not a right guaranteed to ticket holders.
4. Expertise Events reserves the right to amend or change published details relating to all aspects of the event as necessary, without being obliged to provide a refund or exchange to any customer.
5. Code of Conduct: Attendees are expected to adhere to a code of conduct to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants. Violations may result in expulsion from the event without refund. Individuals who the Organiser feels have not acted in accordance with expected code of conduct will be asked to leave the event without a refund of their ticket.
6. Guest appearances at Oz Comic-Con are work and health commitments pending. Panel, Photo, Autograph and Meet and Greet times are subject to change. Information correct at time of writing, check final Event schedule for correct timing and locations. Panels are subject to venue capacity requirements and may require advance queuing.
When you purchase a ticket, you are purchasing a ticket to an event not an appearance of a particular guest, so in the rare occasion that a guest cancels Expertise Events is only responsible for the exchange or refund for that specific guests’ photograph and autograph tokens.
7. The ticket holder understands that potential risks may include, but are not limited to, crowded spaces, loud noises, and other conditions inherent to event environments. Specific scenarios are detailed on our official website.
8. Tickets are valid solely for the number of days they are purchased for.
9. ID may be requested by the Event Organiser or venue staff to confirm the validity of concession/pensioner/senior/student status, as well as the ownership of any multi-day passes.
10. Image/Video/ Audio release: In exchange for attending the event, each ticket holder grants permission to Expertise Events and its employees and agents’ permission to photograph, film, or record the ticket holder and to use the results in materials and all media including but not limited to website and promotional material produced by the event without further notification to the holder. The holder agrees that Expertise owns the images and waives right to compensation or approval over usage. If they are a parent of a ticket holder or attendee under the age of 18, the parent hereby grants the above release approval for image release of their child/minor under their care.
11. Privacy: I understand that the information that I have provided to Oz Comic-Con in this ticket purchase process is necessary for the Event. If the information is not provided, my application for entry to the Event may be rejected. I acknowledge and agree that the information may be disclosed to third parties in accordance with the Expertise Events Pty Ltd Privacy Policy and will be used for the objects of Oz Comic-Con, to provide you with promotional material from Oz Comic-Con or its sponsors or corporate partners about events, products and/or services that may interest you, and for assisting with research and event evaluation.
12. Neither the event organiser (Expertise Events), venue or anyone else working as part of the event shall be responsible or liable for loss and damage to personal property brought to the event. The ticket holder agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Expertise Events and its affiliates, employees, agents, contractors, representatives, and event organizers (collectively referred to as the "Organizers") from any claims, demands, actions, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of or in connection with the ticket holder's attendance at the event. The liability of the Organizers is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
13. I expressly assume, and release Expertise Events (“Expertise”) and any of its affiliates from, all risks, claims, damages, losses, costs and expenses, whether or not reasonably foreseeable, associated with, resulting from or arising in connection with my participation or presence at the event, including, without limitation, all risks of harm, damage, illness (including viruses or illness from any communicable disease) or injury (including death) to or related to my person or property.
14. By purchasing and/or using a ticket, the ticket holder acknowledges having read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined herein.
15. The Organizers reserve the right to alter, postpone, or cancel the event in the event of unforeseen circumstances (force majeure), including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or other incidents beyond their control. In such cases, the Organizers will communicate changes promptly.
16. Attendees are responsible for checking all event information and ensuring they have purchased the correct Event Tickets. No refunds will be processed if an error is made in the ticket purchase.
17. The Organizers reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions as necessary. Changes will be made available to attendees on the Expertise Events Website.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
